Friends from a Melbourne suburb in the state of Victoria won the lottery thanks to their long-standing tradition.
The Australian winner anonymously revealed that she and her partner have been playing the lottery for years by choosing numbers drawn blindly from a hat.

"We've been playing one set of numbers the whole time," she explained.
"He told me his favorite numbers, I had mine, we mixed them up in the hat and then pulled them out."
The unusual way of playing the lottery brought the friends a million Australian dollars.
The winner has already decided how to spend part of the prize.
She plans to install wooden floors in her home, buy a new car, and help her family.
