Stepan the cat from Kharkiv, known for his blog with 1.3 million subscribers and already memed by Ukrainians, is on the cover of Times Monaco magazine. He got there in March last year.
A post with the news that the famous cat had become the face of the magazine appeared on his Instagram the day before.
"Dear friends, please read the story of my first refuge in Europe in Times Monaco Magazine after fleeing the war in Ukraine in March 2022," the post on the furry's page reads.
The glossy describes how the cat-blogger got to Monaco, how long they stayed there, and what he and his owner Anna have been doing for the past year.
It turned out that Stepan is already 13 years old, but the trip from Ukraine to Monaco was his first foreign voyage.
According to her, the beautiful nature and kind attitude of the people helped the family recover from the horrors of the war that Russia brought to Ukrainian soil.
However, Stepan and Anna did not sit idly by: after finding a shelter, they did a lot of work using the Instagram platform and raised thousands of euros for charity to help animals affected by the war in Ukraine.
Last year, the influencer cat was awarded a kind of Oscar for bloggers - he won the World Influencers & Bloggers Awards. Now, Stepan the cat is known all over the world.
Recently, the four-legged man and his owner were returning to Kharkiv, but the family was forced to temporarily move to Lviv.
On December 29, the following post appeared on Stepan's page:
"We visited our native Kharkiv, and it is very painful to leave it. But Lviv has now become our second home, so we will spend the holidays in Lviv."
