Thick Textured Foundation
According to the expert's experience, dense foundation often makes the face look like a mask, regardless of age. For aging skin, it becomes a kind of "magnifying glass," emphasizing its dryness and possible desquamation and getting into fine lines and wrinkles, only drawing attention to them.
The stylist suggests considering lighter-textured creams as a foundation - liquids, advanced BB creams, and CC correctors. Dark circles under the eyes can be masked with a light-reflecting corrector, which gives a fresh look.
Liquid Eyeliner
Due to micro-wrinkles, it is extremely challenging to trace a perfect line on the delicate and thin skin of the eyelid using liquid eyeliner. If there is a clear sagging of the eyelid, the drawn line quickly fades.
Světlana suggests using gel eyeliners to draw the lash line and create a gentle haze in the outer corner after its use.
Black Pencil
Radically black eyeliners for the eyes at any age are not the best choice, even though it is trendy. It visually adds sharpness and contrast to the image. According to the makeup artist's observation, as women age, they have characteristic squinting, and the reason for this - facial expressions, vision, or ignoring sunglasses - is unknown.
However, on the face, the lowered tone of the eyelids will inevitably cause the eyeliner pencil to smudge and create sloppy marks on the eyelids.
It is better to prefer a lighter gel pencil, which is advantageous to shade makeup. And to add freshness and color, the stylist suggests emphasizing the lower eyelid with light blue, green, champagne shades, gold, and silver.
