Laundry expert Deyan Dimitrov shared six ways to keep your clothes fresh without having to wash them in the washing machine or use an iron with Express.co.uk.

Deodorize your clothes with white vinegar spray

White vinegar spray works wonders for deodorizing clothes and can also help get rid of odors in shoes.

As reported: Fakta.today

Mix 150ml of white vinegar with 150ml of water and spray on clothes and shoes that you want to freshen up.

The acidic vinegar smell disappears when your clothes dry and will look and smell like clean clothes.

Revive dull fabrics with salt

If your clothes look faded, soak them in a bucket of cold water with four tablespoons of salt.

This will help remove any built-up dirt and grime that can make your clothes look a bit dull.

Get rid of musty odors with essential oils

You can get rid of musty smells by hanging your laundry outside or on the balcony.

Fresh air will ventilate it, and if the sun is shining, it will naturally kill bacteria, which will also help eliminate any smells.
Woolen clothing cleans itself wonderfully if you air it out in rainy and humid weather under a canopy.

If you still smell musty clothes in your closet, try using essential oils.

Choose your preferred essential oil scent and mix a few drops with water, then spray it with this solution.

Smooth out creases with a spray

Ironing can be replaced with a crease smoothing spray that contains fabric softener.

Mix eight parts water, one part fabric softener, and one part rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and shake well before use.

After spraying, rub the creases together with clean hands. Your clothes will look fresh and wrinkle-free.

Make your own stain remover

Instead of expensive store-bought stain removers and a thorough washing cycle in the washing machine, use a home remedy.

For any deep stains, you will need two-thirds of a cup of baking soda and half a cup of white vinegar.

Mix them together in a bowl and apply the paste to the stain and rub it into the fabric with a damp cloth.

After five minutes, rinse with cold water, and the stain will disappear.

For tougher stains, leave the paste on the garment for a little longer (anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes), as it will ensure that it penetrates the fibers of the fabric.

Clean your shoes with a small brush

Sometimes shoes need to be washed in the washing machine, especially during autumn and winter months when it's muddy outside.

A good alternative is to use a toothbrush and soapy water.

According to the expert, this will revive your shoes and shorten drying time.

If your shoes appear slightly deformed during cleaning, stuff them with crumpled newspapers and leave them overnight to return to their original shape.
