Dry, but do not overdry
Natural leather does not like rain. No, nothing will happen to it during one rain, but if you want to wear the jacket for more than one season, do this:
1. After walking, wipe off all drops with a dry soft cloth.
2. Let the jacket dry on the shoulders.
3. At the beginning of the season and then every 3 weeks of active wear, treat the jacket with a water-repellent spray.
But what you should not do is to dry the jacket near the radiator or blow it with a warm hairdryer - the skin will become rough, the paint may come off.
Keep the shape
A good leather jacket sits on the figure like a glove. But even if you wear oversize (it is fashionable for women now), you need to make sure that the thing is not deformed. This means:
1. The shoulders should not rest against and push the sleeves.
2. Pockets should be empty, and the jacket itself should be buttoned from top to bottom.
3. The jacket should not hang on the hook on the loop for a long time.
The more carefully you hang the jacket, straightening all kinds of creases, smoothing the folds on the elbows, the less it touches other things, the longer it will look great!
Maintain the color
If you love black or colored jackets, they will have to be treated once a month with special color preserving products. Especially on areas that rub: under the sleeves, on the cuffs, pockets.
Usually they are sold in the same stores as jackets. Such impregnation contains not only dye, but also paraffins that soften and protect the surface, give it shine.
Give things a rest
You wear your favorite jacket both to the feast and out. But this is not very correct: leather products "get tired" from this. It is better to alternate them with some other clothes. Even in a day, the thing can rest and straighten, restore its shape.
In the off-season, store it strictly in a jacket so that the jacket does not come into contact with other things, does not get dusty.
"Treat" scratches
Probably, there is no need to explain where and how you can scratch your jacket. Girls regularly do it with bags, nails or jewelry! Small scratches can be removed with a leather polish, in more difficult cases you need a coloring cream or liquid leather.
Greasy stains can be removed with a cotton pad dipped in dishwashing detergent, and salt drops - with a weak vinegar solution. Just do not forget to wipe the jacket with a damp cloth and treat it with a water-repellent spray.
